This is a huge victory for Russia, as they've been trying unsuccessfully to get into the WTO for over 10 years. The US has been the main voice barring their entry. There has been a secret agreement greasing the skids for this membership agreement, and it doesn't come without a steep price. I wonder what Russia has agreed to do, and would guess Putin has been detailed to pressure Iran into softening its nuclear ambitions stance. Russia is the entity supplying Iran with its heaviest arms, nuclear consulting, and oil field development.

I detect the spicy whiff of master negotiator James Baker III's hair gel in the air.
