Are The Comedy Writers Still On Strike?
I mean, somebody's been doing loop-dee-loops in the upper reaches of the snarkosphere:
Bush: Time is right for Mideast peace
Musharraf has 'advanced the course of democracy' in Pakistan
Bush 'deeply concerned' about Russian protestor arrests
Musharraf has 'advanced the course of democracy' in Pakistan
Bush 'deeply concerned' about Russian protestor arrests
Without doubt, this is professional-level output, and apparently some writers are crossing the keyboard line. It has all the signs of The Daily Show at its best; the bite-off-your-tongue to keep a straight face...the vicious irony, the perfect timing! If language be the food of love, what be pratfall?
(Note: Post truncated. Lord Wife thought the paragraph that used to be here was not only too jaded, but might get me arrested.)

Lord's wife can also shut my mouth too. I'm appalled that after seven years Bush is setting the stage for a trip to Israel. A planned confessional, no doubt. Makes one wonder what on earth would be Bush's current interest in having peace in the middle east.
too jaded, huh? Sounds like it will fit in just fine at The River. So email the verbiage and I'll post haste.
Z&Me,
heaven's army finally re-visits Jerusalem....
Bruce,
it had something to do with taking the claims of democracy and free speech seriously, having signs made up saying "Buck Fush" with his highness bent over and being sodomized by Iran, pasting copies of the Constitution all over your clothing, grabbing a squirt gun and going downtown to protest to see whether or not you'd make it to jail alive.
