History Doesn't Repeat: It Rhymes

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider God fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing he has the Gods on his side.

It is not the events that repeat, rather the process. All evolved species (including homo religian) are critters of habit. We weave back and forth in our drunken stupors of slef-induced ecstacy, but we rarely walk sideways for more than a few steps.

Our stories and metaphores follow a similar pattern. Funny, but our patterns also track molecular behavior patterns but at a larger circle and with an evolved greater variance.

The question of rhyme suggests harmony. Now Lou Reed used feedback to create music. He went closer to the edge, but is it a rhyme? Ask the slime...
