Quiche Du Jour

I've been using my brain far too much lately, so I muttered, "Surprise me, Holy Void!" and hopped onto the internet, trusting something utterly mindless would find me. YouTube to the rescue. A Japanese group called The M re-enacts surf guitar virtuosos The Ventures. Perfectly. Thank you, Holy Void. You've out-done Yourself.

Note: The best rendition of "Dixie" I've ever heard was, improbably, at Tex Yanagawa's country music bar in Fukuoka, Japan. Sung by Tex, of course. Or maybe he called himself Hank. I can't remember the name of the bar, either, but a dear friend named Yutaka Kuribayashi ("Chestnut") introduced me to it, and if blogs had existed back then I'd simply search the archives and link you to an old post. ;-)
